PART1: Set Up VLC Player on Computer-
STEP1: VLC web interface is turned off by default to activate the web interface,
STEP2: Click the Tools menu select preferences.

STEP1: First of all make sure your phone is connected to the same wi-fi network as your computer
STEP2: You have to install the vlc remote app on your android device.
STEP3: Open the application under manual connection tap on configure vlc connection.
STEP4: Now, here enter the IP address of your computer, and enter the password that you saved on vlc on your computer. Then save the settings.
Once the connection is successful, you can play media files on your pc and control the media playback from your phone.
Now, you can control different functions like pause, and play fast forward rewind adjust volume, and so on.

Method 2: Using Android Browser-
if you do not want to install an application you can also access vlc from a web browser to access vlc’s web interface.
STEP1: Open your web browser, and enter the URL in this format.
http://YourComputerIP:8080
STEP2: It will prompt for the username and password leave the username field blank enter just the password tap on sign in.
STEP3: The mobile interface will load up.
